The top performers on the S&P 500 were Catalent Inc (NYSE:) which rose 13.32% to 46.91, Wynn Resorts Limited (NASDAQ:) which was up 4.36% to settle at 78.20 and Ulta Beauty Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 1.98% to close at 457.24.
The worst performers were VF Corporation (NYSE:) which was down 5.62% to 32.41 in late trade, Lumen Technologies Inc (NYSE:) which lost 5.48% to settle at 5.52 and NXP Semiconductors NV (NASDAQ:) which was down 4.97% to 164.10 at the close.
The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Secoo Holding Ltd (NASDAQ:) which rose 754.55% to 2.35, NanoVibronix Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 144.27% to settle at 0.63 and Taboola (NASDAQ:) which gained 43.48% to close at 2.64.
The worst performers were CinCor Pharma Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 46.81% to 14.11 in late trade, Troika Media Group Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 30.90% to settle at 0.16 and TC BioPharm Holdings PLC (NASDAQ:) which was down 28.17% to 4.82 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 2425 to 689 and 92 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 2760 fell and 1057 advanced, while 171 ended unchanged.
