The worst performers of the session were Yes Bank Ltd (NS:), which fell 8.21% or 7.25 points to trade at 81.10 at the close. UPL Ltd (NS:) declined 5.86% or 33.60 points to end at 540.95 and Tata Motors Ltd (NS:) was down 5.13% or 6.70 points to 123.75.
The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Bharti Airtel Ltd (BO:) which rose 3.96% to 357.05, Tech Mahindra Ltd (BO:) which was up 2.15% to settle at 650.00 and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (BO:) which gained 1.93% to close at 2248.55.
The worst performers were Yes Bank Ltd (BO:) which was down 8.15% to 81.10 in late trade, Tata Motors Ltd DVR (BO:) which lost 5.62% to settle at 58.80 and Tata Motors Ltd (BO:) which was down 5.25% to 123.75 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the India National Stock Exchange by 1204 to 382 and 57 ended unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 1624 fell and 703 advanced, while 131 ended unchanged.
