Lamborghini’s Trailer Hints That Web3 Will Be Part Of New Announcement

by By Henry Kelsall

Any time we get an announcement or teaser from a company like Lamborghini, it is going to bring excitement. And Lamborghini have us on the edge of our seats at the moment as we await news on the eventual successor to the Aventador.

In the meantime, though, Lamborghini has released a teaser trailer for something that no one is quite sure what it is. The trailer title simply says, “Ultimate is dropping soon on Web3,” while the video itself shows an Aventador Ultimae.

What Lamborghini Might Be Referring Too

For those hoping this is, in fact, related to the Aventador’s eventual successor, it is unfortunately unlikely to be that. What it could be, though, is anyone’s guess. Web3 though does refer to cryptocurrency, however, which, while controversial, is a major player in the world now and can involve big money.

The trailer itself shows us a dark urban setting, before we see the Aventador Ultimae appear out of a room that looks like a boiler room with a lot of pipes. The style of the trailer is somewhat similar to the “NFT Space Time Memory” trailer Lamborghini also released a while back.

Another Lamborghini NFT Could Be Coming

This would suggest that what we are looking at is a trailer for a new NFT. For those unfamiliar with this, NFT means non-fungible token. In other words, a digital item that you own, but you can’t do anything with. NFT’s have recently received a multitude of criticism thanks to them effectively being a large scam, but that hasn’t stopped major players like car manufacturers and even Formula 1 teams getting involved with them.

Lamborghini’s Space Key NFT consisted of five small pieces of carbon fiber that were part of a research project on the International Space Station back in 2019.

Not What Lamborghini Fans Will Have Wanted

Fans of Lamborghini will have no doubt been hoping for a bit of a look at the eventual Aventador successor. But the fact it will just likely be an NFT announcement doesn’t really get the pulse racing. It’s ironic that the car used in the video is the Aventador Ultimae, the car that is likely to be the final evolution of the Aventador before its new, hybrid successor takes over from it.

Whenever that is finally revealed, it will certainly draw more excitement than any NFT announcement ever could.
