Part of Southwest Airlines’ strategy was its focus on operating one plane across its fleet: the Boeing 737. After two fatal crashes of Boeing 737 Max planes Southwest has been forced to cancel thousands of flights and Southwest’s CEO has said he’s willing to explore ordering planes from other manufacturers like Airbus. The question for Southwest is whether switching from Boeing to Airbus is worth the trouble.
