Sightbox announces rebrand as web3 agency

Sightbox believes in helping a new generation of companies make the transition to web3.

“At Sightbox, we are welcoming Web3 with open arms and open minds through our Web3D Initiative. By learning, adopting, and promoting the principles of Web3, we are participating in the latest evolution of the internet in a way that will bring value to our clients, agency, and the world at large.”

Sightbox has been helping startups look and act like billion-dollar companies since 2019 despite the opposing advice of many partners and advisors. Their current re-branding as a founder-focused agency has them refocusing their mission to take that vision a step further as co-founders Charlie Hinojosa and Nathan Thompson have learned how to strategize rapid growth while being at the helm of a new digital venture, otherwise known as web3.

Initially founded in 2011 as a web studio, Sightbox was created by Charlie and transformed into a full-service agency in 2014 alongside Charlie’s childhood friend, and advertising genius unto his own right, Nathan. As co-founders, the two launched a startup of their own in 2016 and got accepted into an accelerator in order to fully understand the landscape of the startup world so as to better serve their clients. During that time, Charlie and Nathan became inspired to pivot Sightbox towards a founder-focused startup-only agency, relaunching their brand in 2019 and seeing exponential growth in both clientele and partnerships by 275%. Such growth brought the agency from 8 to almost 30 in a single quarter in 2021 alone, verifying that Sightbox was indeed going in the same direction as future-forward trends.

By 2022, Sightbox began strategizing with its now international team on how it may become a part of the new web3 space, given its innovative concepts of decentralization, blockchain technologies, and token-based economics, and more importantly, how the company may give founder-led startups the opportunity to be a part of such a revolutionary shift in digital history.

Nathan had this to say about their rebranding:

“At Sightbox, we are welcoming Web3 with open arms and open minds through our Web3D Initiative. By learning, adopting, and promoting the principles of Web3, we are participating in the latest evolution of the internet in a way that will bring value to our clients, agency, and the world at large.”

This refocused initiative for the startup studio agency is breaking new ground as startups themselves can be somewhat risky. But Sightbox believes in helping a new generation of companies make the transition to web3 where the future may be distributed, disrupted, and dignified.

“At Sightbox we believe that startups are dangerous,” Charlie contributes. “More than just new companies, they’re economic and cultural catalysts. We not only respect this threat, [but] we focus it into a brand that is as fearless as the people behind it.”

By participating in the web3 revolution, Sightbox aims to build the next generation of iconic companies. Defining themselves as a startup studio to build and launch their very own ventures, Sightbox is bringing vision to venture.

Sightbox is located at 111 N. Habor Blvd, Suite A, Fullerton, CA, 92832. Clients can contact their US Headquarters by clicking here.
